G. Loader O'Brien Strat`e‚ 1926 ~ 2005 On April 10th Mum left us to join
those she dearly loved and missed. Mum was one of the most genuinely
loving beings on this earth. The wants and needs of others always came
first. She was ever a loving mother, wife/caregiver and friend. She
instilled in us a love for our homeland New Zealand and its Maori origins.
Born on February 28, 1926 in Marton, NZ. Raised in Nuhuka and Wellington
where she married John L. O'Brien (deceased). Married Oren C. Strat`e‚ on
July 29, 1978. She is survived by her husband; sister Fay and brother Jim;
daughters, June (Don), Susan (Donald), Kathryn (Bill), Carolyn; eight
grandchildren, Shane, Johnny (Rayna), Kelly (Chris), Jennifer (Scott),
Jamie, Lindy, Lori (Tim) and Amanda (David); five great-grandchildren,
Brendan, Emma, Riley, Gavin, Sheldon. Mum was a member of Kia Ngawari, the
Utah Rose Society and the Polynesian Choir. Funeral services will be held
April 14, 2005 at 12 noon at the Sandy Cottonwood Creek Stake Center, 1535
East Creek Road. A viewing will be held Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at
Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East 10600 South, Sandy, and at the church one
hour prior to services. "In lieu of flowers, please plant a rose bush
